I am an architect and I specialized in Sustainable Architecture. I started recycling wood to make cladding and furniture. I learned a lot about the environmental impact of industries and became convinced that through innovation we can mitigate our footprint on our planet.
Today I make garments with materials of natural origin, such as silk, tencel, organic cotton. They are garments made by talented women in Chile, using pattern making. Zero Waste. Through this cutting and sewing technique we have been able to mitigate the impact on our Earth.
Before I got into this, I used to find that when I bought clothes, beyond being pretty or practical, they didn't satisfy me completely. That thing about getting to the checkout and paying for them, not very convinced, without knowing about the working and/or environmental conditions under which they were made, or what benefits beyond what they are pretty, they have for you.
